The 7 best series to watch on Netflix in March 2022

Netflix has provided a series of new Originals just two months into 2022. From tales of scammers in The Tinder Swindler and Inventing Anna to the audacious South Korean S&M flick Love & Leashes, the streaming service has helped retain audience attention with their exciting content. As we venture into the next month, Netflix has a promising set of Originals and old classics for March 2022.  

With an exciting lineup of Netflix Originals for 2022, besides a charming and promising set of Original series to arrive this year, we must acknowledge Netflix’s constant valiant efforts to add new titles to their shelves for our audio-visual pleasure.

While we have already named our most anticipated Original film releases for March, rest assured, we are equally excited to see the romantic pursuits of the eldest Bridgerton brother, Anthony besides a gory finale of the Netflix version of Game of Thrones, The Last Kingdom

Ahead of their release, we decided to give you a headstart and get your watchlist sorted. Here are the seven best series to watch on Netflix in March 2022:

7. Human Resources – Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin, Jennifer Flackett

A spin-off to the popular teen animated comedy from the above quartet, Big Mouth, this upcoming workplace comedy will feature the monsters from the world of the teen show. While the Emmy-nominated show, Big Mouth featured the anxieties and nightmares of adolescence and puberty, Human Resources will focus on the chaotic antics of the monsters that viewers have grown to be fond of. 

With ten episodes, the show will see the return of hormone monsters like Mona, Maury and Connie as well the villainous antagonists, Depression Kitty, Shame Wizard and Tito the Anxiety Mosquito. The voice-ver cast includes Maya Rudolph, David Thewlis, Nick Kroll, Thandie Newton, Randall Park, Pamela Adlon and others. 

Human Resources will premiere on Netflix on March 18th, 2022. 

6. The Last Kingdom – Stephen Butchard 

Based on Bernard Cornwell’s Saxon Stories, the fifth and final season of this historical drama series is on its way as it chronicles the reign of the Saxons against brutal Nordic invasions. Following the exciting Norse legend release last month, namely Vikings: Valhalla, the series will chronicle the Saxon resistance against the Viking excursions to England. 

Starring Alexander Dreymon, Timothy Innes, Millie Brady, Emily Cox and others, the final season will indeed be bloody and gory with imminent battles and a presumably emotional ending. However, the series has received a spin-off feature film titled Seven Kings Must Die that will see Dreymon return as Uhtred, besides other cast members. 

 The Last Kingdom season five will arrive on March 9th, 2022 on Netflix.   

5. Top Boy – Ronan Bennett  

Starring Ashley Walters and Kane Robinson in prominent roles, the series is set in the fictional Summerhouse estate. It focuses on the realistic and grim representation of the street culture. 

This honest and thought-provoking show ended on a cliffhanger in the third season where the mysterious gunshot put Dris’ fate on the line while the rookies actually turned out to be police officers. The new season will also star Araloyin Oshunremi, Kadeem Ramsay, Saffron Hocking and others. 

The show is coming back for a second season on March 18th, 2022. 

4. Worst Roommate Ever Domini Hoffman 

Intense and harrowing, the five-episode series upholds the sinister tales of individual people’s malevolent intentions as they plague the lives of their respective roommates. Seemingly innocent in the beginning, they gradually begin flaunting their true colours as master manipulators, conmen and serial killers. 

With real-life footage, animation and interviews with those involved, this true-crime docuseries focuses on the victims and reenact the sick and twisted tales of the perpetrators. This five-episode gruesome odyssey will strike a chord with all true crime aficionados and send them spiralling into an abyss of fear and shock. 

The series premiered on Netflix on March 1st, 2022. 

3. Pieces of Her – Minkie Spiro

Based on Karin Slaughter’s thrilling novel of the same name, this upcoming thriller series will feature Tini Collette, Bella Heathcote, Joe Dempsie, David Wenham and others in prominent roles. With an intense trailer that promises an abundance of secrets, mystery, violence and shock, the film will explore the changing dynamics of a mother-daughter dynamic against a violent landscape. 

After getting caught in a mass shooting incident, the daughter sees her mother deftly managing to eliminate the threat. This pricks her conscience and she begins to delve deeper into her mother’s history, stumbling upon unknown and ominous secrets that her mother desperately tried to hide. 

The series will premiere on March 4th, 2022 on Netflix.   

2. The Andy Warhol Diaries – Andrew Rossi 

This six-episode series will focus on the life of the legendary Andy Warhol who became a pop-cultural phenomenon with his indelible impact on the pop art movement. Produced by Ryan Murphy, the series will closely examine the luminous life and career of this trailblazing icon. 

While the series mainly relies on his diaries to explore his persona and personality, it uses cutting-edge AI deep fakes to generate his voice-over for several clippings. The series will also include interviews with those close to Warhol, including John Waters and Rob Lowe while using a brilliant mix of all the artistic styles that immortalised Warhol’s extraordinary brilliance. 

The Andy Warhol Diaries will premiere on March 9th, 2022 on Netflix. 

1. Bridgerton – Chris Van Dusen 

After an opulent and steamy first season, the Bridgertons are back with the Regency-core aesthetics, flowing ball gowns and quintessential etiquettes of the upper echelons of London. This time, the show will follow Julia Quinn’s novel, The Viscount Who Loved Me and focus on the romantic pursuits of the eldest Bridgerton sibling, Anthony who finds himself falling for the feisty and spirited Kate Sharma. 

Starring Jonathan bailey, Phoebe Dynevor, Nichola Coughlan and others, Simone Ashley has been cast to play the role of Anthony’s love interest who shall challenge him in every sense. The teaser trailer promises a steamy romance between the two, with a glimpse of Anthony in a hot tub while Kate haughtily fans herself against the heat. 

Bridgerton season two will begin streaming on Netflix on March 25th, 2022.
