The latest Netflix show Inventing Anna has left viewers with various questions regarding the elusive and enigmatic figure of Anna Sorokin. An upcoming official podcast will now answer all their questions. It serves as a deep dive into the behind-the-scenes of the show.
Shonda Rhimes was intrigued by Jessica Pressler’s article titled ‘How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People’, where the journalist wrote the unbelievable rags to riches story. Sorokin posed as a fake German heiress under the alias Anna Delvey and scammed the American elite of millions of dollars.
Rhimes made the show with Julia Garner starring as the fascinating Sorokin while Anna Chlumsky played the fictional version of Pressler.
To answer all the questions that viewers have about Pressler, Sorokin, Neff Davis, Kacy Duke and others, Rhimes’ new official podcast, Inventing Anna: The Offical Podcast, will give viewers more information regarding the same.
Hosted by iHeartRadio show host Stacey Wilson Hunt, the podcast will feature a new special guest linked to the case, every episode, including Pressler.
As Hunt confirmed, “I get to talk with the real people who inspired the Shondaland series and the actors who brought them to life.”
The podcast teaser promises a riveting account of the “summer of scams” as it takes the viewers back to 2017 and creates the premise ripe enough to delve into the notoriety of Sorokin’s white-collar crimes.
According to Rhimes’ website, the podcast will be available for streaming at iHeart, Apple, and other podcast services.
While the nine hour-long episodes of Inventing Anna is now streaming on Netflix, the podcast will debut on March 2nd, 2022.
