Flowy dresses and tight corsets, beautiful mansions and parlours, plenty of balls and match-making, dashing young men and beautiful young women vying for each other’s attention coupled with steamy romance scenes — the lives of upper echelons of Regency-era London is all fun and frolics.

After a riveting first season that saw torrid affairs and deep-rooted conspiracies, fans are already excited for the upcoming second season. You can read everything you need to know about the second season, here.

With the second season shifting its focus from Daphne Bridgerton to the eldest Bridgerton brother, Anthony, Rhimes had an interesting piece of information to share about the trajectory of the series.

In an interview with Variety, Rhimes said, “There are eight Bridgerton siblings, and as far as I’m concerned, there are eight Bridgerton seasons.” Teasing fans, she said, “And maybe more.”

Talking about the fan reaction to the news about Rege-Jean Page not returning to the show as Simon Bassett, she expressed her surprise. “I don’t think I expected everybody to have such a reaction to it,” she said.

Rhimes said that she did understand the fan’s “despair” about the couple not making a comeback on the show due to their unbridled “attachment to couples”.

After Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal and ahead of her next big release Inventing Anna that has already managed to create quite the buzz, Rhimes, who has a multi-year deal with the streamer, has already raised fan anticipation regarding the future of the series.
