Do you remember Lindsay Lohan? The cute little girl in The Parent Trap who grew up to be in successful productions as the nerdy Cady Heron in Mean Girls or the teenage musician Anna in Freaky Friday?
While she soon became the poster girl of controversy, Lohan soon went underground and was radio silent for years despite her success in various films. However, in exciting news, it has recently been revealed that Lohan is set to make her comeback in a yet-to-be-titled Christmas rom-com on Netflix.
Lohan will be playing the role of an affluent, and freshly engaged, hotel heiress who is pretty spoiled. She gets into a skiing accident and suffers from amnesia. She is taken care of by a handsome lodge owner and his daughter and soon has to piece back her life together from the fragmented memories.
Also starring Glee’s Chord Overstreet, Netflix just gave us a first peek into their dynamics together. Clad in overcoats, they are seen walking along a snow-clad street under sparkling fairy lights. Although she made an appearance in the 2019 film Among the Shadows, this has been billed as her first feature film since 2013. Fans are already very excited to see her make a return.
Directed by Janeen Damian- who co-wrote the script after gaining considerable experience in Christmas films like A Christmas Princess, A Christmas Waltz, Much Ado About Christmas etc.- the film will also star Jack Wagner, George Young and Olivia Perez.
The Netflix film is most likely to be released in 2022.
