Netflix drops trailer for Mary Lambert's 'A Castle for Christmas'

Netflix has dropped the official trailer for an upcoming Christmas film that will bring the festive warmth. Slated for a Thanksgiving week release towards the end of this month, A Castle for Christmas is set to be a smash hit.

The film is directed by Mary Lambert, who has directed films like Pet Sematary, Pet Sematary II, Clubland and Grand Isle, besides working on other short films, TV shows and more.

A romantic comedy based on Ally Carter and Kim Beyer-Johnson’s screenplay, the film will be produced by Brad Krevoy. The cast includes Cary Elwes, Brooke Shields, Suanne Braun, Vanessa Grasse, Lee Ross, Mark Fleischmann, Andi Osho and Eilidh Loan.

The film is a part of Netflix’s Christmas film line-up and is a welcome addition to their ever-growing collection of holiday-themed content.

The film will revolve around a well-known author Sophie Brown who travels to Scotland harbouring the desire of buying a castle. However, the owner, Duke Myles is quite bitter and reluctant about selling it to a foreigner.

As they try to reach common ground, they are constantly at loggerheads with each other. However, this might develop into something greater and trigger deep-seated emotions they were both oblivious of.

Slated for a November 26, 2021 release, check out the trailer and production stills below:
