Netflix releases the trailer for 'A Boy Called Christmas'

Netflix recently released the trailer for the upcoming animated feature A Boy Called Christmas that is slated for release on the 24th of November.

Ahead of the Holiday season, this family-friendly Christmas film is Gil Kenan’s gift to the audience once again after basking in his creative brilliance and ingenuity in his previous works, namely Monster House, the remake of Poltergeist as well as the TV adaptation of Scream

The film stars Henry Lawfull, Toby Jones, Sally Hawkins, Maggie Smith, Kristen Wiig, Zoe Colletti, Michiel Huisman, Joel Fry, Jim Broadbent, Rune Temte and Stephen Merchant.

Adapted from Matt Haig’s best-selling book for children, Kenan co-wrote the script with Ol Parker and the film tells the story of a young boy named Nikolas who goes to the wild north in pursuit of his father and the truth regarding the elf village named Elfheim.

When he reaches the north, he is touched by the magic of the realm and forges unlikely friendships that carve out a new destiny for this wondrous kid.

According to the official synopsis released by Netflix, Nikolas is also followed by “a headstrong reindeer called Blitzen and a loyal pet mouse” on his epic adventure.
