Created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher, Never Have I Ever is a coming-of-age Netflix Original that has amassed huge popularity with its first two seasons and has been renewed for another two-season run.
This young-adult coming-of-age comedy traces a young Indian American girl called Devi’s journey through high school. We follow her as she navigates herself through grades, friendships, jealousy, aspirations, young love and subsequent love triangles while grappling with the tragic demise of her father and the constant bickering with her mother.
The show is full of Kaling-like humour and has become hugely popular due to its relatable content as the young protagonist struggles to fit in and voices out her concerns about her lack of social skills, confidence and more. It hilariously portrays the generation gap between Devi and her immigrant mother, who tries to instil certain Indian values in her.

When will Never Have I Ever season 3 be on Netflix?
Never Have I Ever season three is scheduled to be a part of Netflix’s most awaited summer releases this year. It is scheduled to premiere on the streaming service on August 12th, 2022. The show announced the same by releasing a few first-look images.
When was Never Have I Ever season 3 filmed?

What might happen on Never Have I Ever season 3?
In Never Have I Ever season two, our ditzy protagonist was seen having a hard time choosing between Paxton and Ben. Eventually, Devi ends up losing them both, before patching things up with Paxton for the school’s winter dance. Although Ben is seen dating Aneesa, the new girl, he is visibly upset with the budding relationship between Devi and Paxton. Whether Ben will still pursue his heart’s calling or finally learn to be happy with Aneesa will be debunked this season.
Paxton and Devi, too, have a lot to work to do to have a healthy relationship. While they had a severely rocky start, a first look image shows them looking at each other with adoration in their eyes, presumably holding hands, while the rest of the corridor looks at them in awe and shock. This could hint at the Devi-Paxton ship finally sailing.
Kaling does not know what the universe has in store for this couple. She confessed to EW, “I’ve watched enough romantic comedies that it’s not interesting unless it’s constantly shifting and changing. Having the lead character be happy in love is not super interesting to me. It’s more suspenseful when we don’t know.”
The pictures also show Aneesa hanging out with Devi and her two best friend’s in Devi’s room, hinting at a possible friendship. After their intense rivalry last season, it will be fun to see the two Indian girls team up and form a beautiful alliance.
The pictures also show a new character named Des. A new student from a private school, his arrival might throw Devi’s feelings into turmoil and add more chaos. Or will Des catch someone else’s attention? Only time will tell.

An older South Asian character, she has been described by Lang Fisher as someone who will bring “this whole other dimension” and most likely fill “a little bit of the void that Mohan [Devi’s father] left.” While Fisher has promised a “new dynamic”, we eagerly await the possible words of wisdom that Geeta might have to offer.
Has Never Have I Ever been renewed for a fourth season?
In March 2022, Never Have I Ever had been renewed for a fourth season. However, much to the chagrin of fans, season four will bring a bittersweet end to Devi’s high school journey. Whether the team will return once again to chronicle Devi’s escapades in college is a miracle that fans are eagerly awaiting!
