Filming finishes on season 3 of Netflix's 'You'

Filming for the third season of Netflix’s hit show You has officially wrapped.

The adaption of Caroline Kepnes’ novel has captured the hearts and minds of Netflix viewers across the world, becoming one of the most-streamed original shows in the history of the platform. The first season of the show arrived in 2018, and the follow-up came the next year. However, the pandemic pushed back the third season’s production, but now it has officially finished up.

The third season has in the works since March 2020, but filming didn’t restart until November after plans were thwarted to resume production last summer. Now, the official social media accounts for the show posted a photo of Penn Badgley on the shoot sitting on a chair, which had ‘Stalker’ emblazoned on the back, along with the caption: “Don’t worry we have eyes on Joe at all times, Happy S3 wrap.”

Although there is no premiere date yet in place for the third series, it’s not entirely impossible to rule it out arriving on the streaming service in 2021. The third season adapts Kepnes’ Hidden Bodies; the writers have previously teased the first episode by sharing the picture of the first page of the script titled ‘And They Lived Happily Ever After’.

Season three will be a continuation of Joe’s sociopathic antics. According to Penn Badgley, the series delves deeper into the protagonist’s past, and the repressed childhood memories made him the watchable monster he is.
