What’s next for the cast of ‘Stranger Things’?
That’s it, people, Stranger Things is done. The credits are rolled, the documentary is out, and all you are left with are rewatches. It is over, for real. And we are supposed to move on as if nothing happened?
This one stings more than anything because you didn’t just watch them fight monsters. You watched them grow up. They transitioned from awkward kids to regulars on the red carpet. From Comic-Con panels to global billboards. And every time they booked something new, it felt like a personal win.
And now that it is over, the big question is, what happens next? Who is jumping into blockbusters, and who is going indie? Is there anyone who is going off the grid entirely? Some names are everywhere already.
So let’s dive into the next projects of the case. What are they doing now? Because we know you are curious.
What’s next for the cast of Stranger Things?
Millie Bobby Brown
Of course, she is booked and busy. After all, she was the show. But don’t expect Eleven-level angst next, as she is all over the place. Technically, she did quite a lot of work in between the ten years of Stranger Things, so now she has both new projects as well as the old franchise to look forward to. Millie Bobby Brown is filming Enola Holmes 3 with Henry Cavill.
Along with that, she is doing a rom-com (Just Picture It) where a phone glitch shows her a future husband. And she is even producing and starring in Prism, where she talks to ghosts. Yes. Ghosts. So if you were hoping for something Stranger Things adjacent, Prism is your best bet. But this next era of Millie? It is a full-blown leading lady. Just her, haunting the charts and probably dropping another best-selling brand between projects.

Finn Wolfhard
You knew he was going to go, full film nerd, the second he picked up that camcorder in season four. And here he is now, directing, writing, and producing like a man on a mission. Finn has got Crash Land coming, which is a stunt comedy that is half Jackass and part small-town teenage breakdown. That one will be released early in 2026.
And if you thought that was all, wait till you hear that he is reworking the cult horror comedy Idle Hands for Sony. Yes, the one from the 90s. Plus, he is co-producing a biopic on The Replacements with his dad. Finn really is in his filmmaker era. And honestly? Good for him.

David Harbour
You want Hopper? You get Santa. No, seriously, because Harbour is back in Violent Night 2 this December, playing the most insane version of Santa Claus you will ever see. And two weeks after that, he is back in the MCU as Red Guardian for Avengers: Doomsday.
And that’s not even all. He is also filming Evil Genius, based on the infamous Pizza Bomber case, and is also attached to Behemoth, a big-budget drama starring Pedro Pascal and Olivia Wilde. If anyone is staying booked in the post-Hawkins world, it’s Harbour. Seems like he is on a genre-exploring spree.

Sadie Sink
Of course, she is joining the MCU. It was only a matter of time. Sadie will appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day (July 31st), and rumours say she is showing up in Secret Wars too. That’s two Marvel movies in the same year. Max is not playing around.
Off-camera, she is also executive-producing John Proctor Is the Villain, a high school drama based on a Broadway play she starred in. And while she isn’t acting in it, she is still shaping the story. Awards buzz is inevitable. Max was always powerful, but Sadie? She’s about to run the show.

Joe Keery
Steve Harrington might be gone, but Joe Keery is still rocking the hair and surviving horror. His next film, Cold Storage, is dropping on February 13th. It has got Liam Neeson, a haunted military base, and a brain-controlling fungus. Just casual stuff.
He plays one of the poor guys stuck on night shift when everything goes wrong. Horror with comedy? We know Joe will ace it. And if you haven’t seen him in Fargo Season 5, do it. The man is criminally underrated. Also, let’s hope he keeps on dropping more musical bangers this year. We need him more. And soon.

Caleb McLaughlin
Lucas was probably one of the most loved characters from season five and radiated that leader energy big time, and Caleb is clearly keeping that momentum. He is voicing the lead goat (yes, a goat) in Goat, a sports comedy where animals play a game called “roarball”. It releases the same day as Keery’s film, February 13th. Double feature?
He is joined by Gabrielle Union, Jennifer Hudson, and Steph Curry, so yes, the bar is high. But don’t forget that Caleb can do serious. He crushed it in Concrete Cowboy, Deliverance, and The Book of Clarence. Although he might not be doing any shows right now, you know it’s just a matter of time.

Charlie Heaton
Jonathan was moody, but Charlie? Surprisingly busy. He is joining Industry Season 4, which means finance bros, moral grey zones, and a pure HBO showdown. That alone is reason enough to tune in. He will also star in a Netflix creature limited series set in Newfoundland, opposite Josh Hartnett.
And yes, there is romance too. He’s leading Twice Over, a rom-com where he reunites with an old flame played by Mia Wasikowska. The vibes are awkward and adult. So don’t be surprised if you fall for him all over again.

Gaten Matarazzo
Dustin gave you laughs in Stranger Things, and Gaten has decided to keep that alive… but with a little prestige on the side. He is voicing Lucky the piglet in Animal Farm, Andy Serkis’ star-studded adaptation of the Orwell classic. It releases May 1st, and it is the third version of the story ever made.
After that, he is starring in an absurd road-trip comedy about two college kids hunting for pizza, written by YouTube legends BriTANicK. He is also executive-producing that film, proving he is not just here for the ride. We love range.

Maya Hawke
If you thought she peaked with Robin, think again. Maya is joining The Hunger Games universe in Sunrise on the Reaping, playing a younger version of Wiress. It is a really huge swing, and if it hits, she’s about to lock in another franchise for life.
And rom-com fans, don’t worry, she hasn’t abandoned you. She is starring in One Night Only, a romance set on the one night of the year when premarital sex is legal (yup). And she is also in Wishful Thinking, another dreamy love story with release details still under wraps. Genre who?
