Watch the brand new trailer for 'Stranger Things' series 4

“Eleven, are you listening?” begins the brand new trailer for Stranger Things season four, before spiralling into a flurry of bombastic action and wild science fiction imagery.

Giving us the first proper look at the new series whilst also disclosing the crucial information that Netflix will be releasing the much-anticipated series in 2022, the short 30-second teaser is the perfect appetiser to get fans excited.

In the short trailer, we see Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) don a brand new look whilst being held back by shadowy suited figures, as well as a new look for Hopper, who has managed to escape from his sticky situation at the end of season three.

Netflix’s iconic series Stranger Things is set to ramp things up in its upcoming fourth series, according to star Sadie Sink. The young actor portrays Max Mayfield in the influential Netflix show, a newcomer to the group of friends and the girlfriend of key member Lucas Sinclair. Speaking in an interview leading up to the upcoming fourth series, Sink has teased that the new episodes will make for a “really, really dark season”.

“Each season, the production scale gets bigger and bigger, and the stakes are really, really high this year, as they are always,” Sink explained about the fourth series of the hit show, which may end up being Stranger Things’ penultimate chapter. Producer Shawn Levy has previously backed this up, stating, “The truth is we’re definitely going four seasons, and there’s very much the possibility of a fifth. Beyond that, it becomes, I think very unlikely”.

“There’s something about this season, it’s really intense,” Sink continues, echoing the comments of fellow co-star Finn Wolfhard, who also said earlier this year that season four would be “the darkest season that there’ll ever be”.
