Coming Soon

‘Virgin River’ releases new images and announces release date

After months of bated anticipation, Virgin River fans were finally relieved when Netflix released some first-look images besides announcing the release date of the fourth season on the streamer.

Based on Robyn Carr’s eponymous novel series, Sue Tenney’s show has become quite popular ever since its debut in 2019. Laced with romantic pursuits, melodramatic tension and conflicts, the show boasts stellar performances, picturesque locations, harrowing background scores and complicated plotlines.

Starring Alexandra Breckenridge as Mel and Martin Henderson as Jack, the series also features other actors like Jenny Cooper, Colin Lawrence, Annette O’Toole, Zibby Allen, Tim Matheson, Sarah Dugdale etc.

The series is essentially the story of Mel, a nurse and midwife, who escapes to the titular small town, looking for a fresh start. The third season saw Mel on the brink of motherhood while the pervading question about the baby’s father plagued viewers.

The fourth season will show Mel facing a major dilemma where she is unaware of whether the child belongs to her dead husband Mark, or Jack. While she is a step closer to her dream of being a mother, Jack, who is incredibly supportive, is, however, bothered by the child’s paternity.

A new handsome doctor, who is looking to start a family of his own, arrives in the town and meets a recovering Hope, thus complicating matters even further. The fourth season also promises to entangle other characters in complicated storylines within the 12 episodes which will set the tempo for the upcoming fifth season that has been greenlit for production.

Virgin River season four is scheduled for a July 20th, 2022 release on Netflix. Read everything we know about the fourth season here
