Trailer and cast revealed for ‘Love Is Blind: UK’
Netflix have unveiled the trailer and cast profiles for a new season of Love Is Blind set in the United Kingdom.
Love Is Blind first hit our screens on Netflix back in 2020. The premise of the show aims to remove the influence of physical attributes in dating, placing participants in separate pods through which they can communicate without seeing one another. Participants can only see their partner when they have agreed to marry them.
Several contestants have found love from the show, and many couples are still married years later. After the success of the series in the States, Love Is Blind has expanded into several other countries. Now, the pods are set to house 30 singles from the United Kingdom in the first season of Love Is Blind: UK.
The first four episodes of the new series will premiere on Netflix on August 7th. Five subsequent episodes will arrive on August 14th, before the season comes to an end on August 21st with two concluding episodes.
A trailer for the new season provides a first look at the pods, as well as the contestants. “I want love,” one participant declares, “Every little girl wants that fairy-tale ending.” From rose petals to emotional cries, it promises just as many emotional highs and lows as the seasons that have preceded it.
The trailer also provides a glimpse at Matt and Emma Willis, who will present the season. Emma Willis is widely known for her presenting work, having worked on British reality TV classics like Big Brother and The Circle. Meanwhile, Matt Willis is more well-known for his work on-stage, playing bass for pop-punk band Busted. The pair have been married since 2008.
Matt Willis shared his excitement about the show with Tudum, stating, “We love the show! It’s been such a dream working together and fascinating to watch the process unfold. Experiencing this new project side by side has been really amazing, and I can’t wait for people to come on this journey with us.”
The season’s contestants have a wide range of jobs and have been recruited from all across the country. Structural landscaper Benaiah hails from Preston, while mental health nurse Jasmine comes from London. The youngest participants are 27, while the oldest is 38.
The first four episodes of Love Is Blind: UK will begin streaming on Netflix in just under two weeks time, on August 7th.
