Three fan-favourite Netflix shows that are sadly ending soon

Nothing lasts forever, whether good or bad, and unfortunately, this also stands true for a select few Netflix shows that have become part and parcel of our everyday lives.

While Netflix rolls out content at lightspeed, not every original production attains fan-favouritism to an extent that whenever renewal or return announcements surface for the concerned projects, hell breaks loose.

But the titles that have made it to the list have carved a streaming niche so compelling that hearts are sure to break.

Before we get there, however, we recommend taking it easy, but for those scratching their heads and losing it already, here’s the list of three fan-favourite Netflix shows that are sadly pulling the curtains sooner than you think.

Three Netflix shows confirmed to conclude

The Night Agent (Seth Gordon, 2023–Present)

To all The Night Agent fans out there, Peter Sutherland is embarking on one final mission in its fourth season and with that, it would be a wrap for the spy drama once and for all. Earlier in May, Netflix brought the update for fans as the fourth and final season of the hit series moved into production in Los Angeles. While showrunner Shawn Ryan has promised to give Peter the send-off he deserves, joining him are a lineup of fresh faces.

In the third season, Peter already travelled the extra mile to investigate a dark, dirty money network, forcing him to question and confront his alliances. Although the explosive season three finale also left fans brainstorming about unanswered questions, rest assured, Sutherland is indeed coming with the solutions in The Night Agent season four. The release window is currently shrouded in mystery, but the end is clearly near.

The Lincoln Lawyer (Antonio Negret, Alonso Alvarez, and Liz Friedlander, 2022–Present)

Another equally beloved Netflix show that’s confirmed to hit the road one last time is The Lincoln Lawyer with its fifth season. Fresh off the heartbreaking announcement of The Night Agent, Netflix shared the update in the following weeks of May, leaving a trail of frustrated, upset fans. The legal drama is also currently in production in LA, and is counting its final days on set.

In the fifth and final season of The Lincoln Lawyer, Micky’s world is turned upside down when his half-sister Emi arrives with a request to help free a wrongfully convicted woman. So, in what’s shaping up to be the most layered instalment of the five, Haller takes on the gruelling habeas petition to overturn a six-year-old murder conviction. However, knowing nothing comes without collateral in his line, the deeper he digs, the more powerful the forces grow against him.

Emily in Paris (Andrew Fleming, Peter Lauer, Katina Medina Mora, and Jennifer Arnold, 2020–Present)

The final participant of this heartbreak carousel is none other than Darren Star’s Emily in Paris, which means Lily Collins is returning for one last globetrotting adventure in its sixth season, currently in production in Greece. In the ending phase of May, the rom-com star announced the news with a video, saying, “Season six will bring you everything you love about the show and serve as the final chapter in Emily’s adventure of a lifetime”.

Following her Roman holiday with her Italian beau Marcello and an emotional rollercoaster of a season, Emily did return to Paris last time, but just when we thought it was just Emily, struggling to keep her life and career afloat, enter her best friend, Mindy, her ex, Alfie, and the on-again and off-again Nicolas, who decided to seal the deal with a ring. Although it’s tough to say where the future takes the Paris gang, except for Greece, for what’s worth, we’re leaving it upon the fans to ensure it’s a Greek holiday to remember forever.
