The five best Mila Kunis films on Netflix

Milena Markovana (Mila Kunis) gained traction in her debutant sitcom That 70s Show at the young age of 14. Ever since, she has been climbing the ladders of fame one step at a time. Or should we say one leap at a time? Alongside the appreciation she received from her debutant sitcom, she also voiced the infamous character of Meg Griffin from the renowned Family Guy series.

Mila has played some iconic roles over the years and has not received enough appreciation for her contemporary roles. Known for playing Jackie Burkhart on That ‘70s Show, the actress evolved into one of our generation’s most gifted American actresses.

She has performed with sheer brilliance and perfection when it came to playing intense roles like Lily in Black Swan. However, without further ado, let’s dive into a journey of her five best performances currently on the streamer!

It is indeed the time to celebrate her talent and sincerity towards the work she does. Mila Kunis has proved her worth and fame over and again.

Here are the five best Mila Kunis films on Netflix

5. Black Swan (2010)

Directed by Darren Aronofsky Black Swan could be considered one of the best films of the last two decades. The story follows the life of a young ballerina called Nina (Natalie Portman) who struggles with inner demons. She finally gets a chance to play her dream role as the White Princess or Princess Odette. Apart from having an overbearing mother, she feels intimated and manipulated also by her art director Thomas. Thomas, later in the film, believes Nina’s peer Lily (Mila Kunis) is a better fit for the role. Lily is the embodiment of the Black Swan– she personifies living on the edge. And let’s be honest, no one could have done it better than Mila Kunis herself.

Black Swan is unfortunately not currently streaming on every Netflix. You can find the trailer for the movie here!

4. Friends with Benefits (2011)

Will Gluck directed this film ahead of its time. In the film, Mila Kunis portrays Jamie, who is a New York-based headhunter. She stumbles upon Dylan (Justin Timberlake) and helps him crack a dream job at GQ. Jamie and Dylan find comfort in each other as friends, but things start shifting when they add sex to the mix.

The film focuses on how two friends having sex eventually start catching feelings for each other but are both too scared to confess. Want to know what happens? Find out if you somehow missed out on this cute little hidden gem!

3. Bad Moms (2016)

Written and directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, the plot, as the name suggests, captures the lives of overworked mothers. Amy (Mila Kunis), Carla (Kathryn Hahn), and Kiki (Kristen Bell) are all overworked mothers who have had it competing to be the best at managing life. They need a break the same way all of us do. And aligned with the direction of the plot, they do so.

The three mothers take a break from all their responsibilities and lead life the way they want. It is funny how the title of the film says Bad Moms, although everything they did was just an attempt to feel like themselves again. A break here and there is what everybody needs in their lives. In the same way, you will have to watch this film if you are in need of one. It serves right what it should.

2. Luckiest Girl Alive (2022)

The film is based on Jessica Knoll’s novel, which she agreed to recently based on her real-life encounters. Knoll added that the rape aspect of the storyline was based on other women’s experiences that she had heard about. Mila Kunis plays the role of a journalist who has everything one can imagine when one envisions a perfect life.

Things go awry when a true-crime documentary brings back the “harrowing high school history” that she would rather not go back to. We see Mila question the choices she made when she was younger and how hesitant she becomes to revisit her past.

1. Ted (2012)

East or west, Ted is always the best. The story of John (Mark Wahlberg) and his teddy bear. John experiences his dream come true when his teddy bear called, Ted, comes to life. However, the wish soon turns into a nightmare as he tries to move in with his girlfriend Lori (Mila Kunis). Eventually, Ted becomes responsible for testing the limits of John and Lori’s relationship till it has reached the point of ruin.

The Ted franchise is ongoing, and you can also find all its parts on the streamer! Watch this to let it serve as the perfect break from reality we all deserve.
