The 10 most popular series on Netflix US this week: July-August 2026
The Idaho Murders: College Nightmare is ruling both the global and the Netflix US charts this week, and hardly anybody is surprised. Not winning hearts, exactly, because that would be a rather ghastly way of putting it, but commanding attention on both sides of the list.
What is striking is how quickly American viewers tore through it. Director Skye Borgman knows Netflix true crime inside out, but this series has more baggage than most. Viewers are realising that, and hence the show is at number one.
Then there is Ransom Canyon season two at number two. Naturally. Americans are still busy watching beautiful people brood across Texas while letting miscommunication lead to bad decisions. And fair enough, really, because who’s complaining?
The Hawk is shining bright at number three, giving the chart a much-needed change of temperature. Will Ferrell plays fading golf legend Lonnie Hawkins, attempting one final comeback while Fortune Feimster’s caddie tries to keep him somewhere near the fairway.
Molly Shannon appears in the show too, which makes the inevitable sporting humiliation considerably more enticing. It was originally called GOLF, by the way. Just GOLF. You have to admire the confidence.
At four, The Bombing of Pan Am 103 is holding firm. The drama focuses on the long and difficult police investigation of the case, including the false leads and the enormous scale of the Lockerbie case.
Then Raw storms into fifth, elbows first. The July 27th episode delivered Seth Rollins attacking Roman Reigns and Raquel Rodriguez, claiming championship gold. Also, the Brock Lesnar–Oba Femi weigh-in went as expected.
Lower down, My Daughter’s Father sits at six, followed by I Will Find You. The first season of Ransom Canyon at number eight suggests that the new episodes are getting in new viewers, who are now scrambling backwards to catch up.
Elite Force takes ninth, while Little House on the Prairie closes the chart with some much-needed homespun calm.
