The 10 most popular series on Netflix this week: October 2026
The Top 10 series chart of Netflix is more or less the same story, with a show continuing to be on the top until another new release replaces it, and that’s exactly what has happened to this week’s chart.
Josh Hartnett has come out on top with Below, which hit Netflix on October 8th and has gone straight to number one. The supernatural thriller takes us to a Newfoundland fishing community where something dangerous is lurking out at sea, with Stranger Things star Charlie Heaton joining Hartnett.
Florence Pugh, who was reigning the crown until last week, has now slipped to number two with East of Eden. Zoe Kazan’s Steinbeck adaptation comes with a cracking family connection too: her grandfather, Elia Kazan, directed the 1955 film starring James Dean.
Then Percy Jackson and the Olympians takes third, because Rick Riordan’s Greek mythology crowd are not going anywhere.
Next, Mojo Brookzz has you covered with I Know You Lying at number four, bringing the Chicago comedian’s relationship material to Netflix after more than a decade in stand-up.
Then we are straight back into murder. Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story takes fifth, with Ella Beatty playing Borden in Ryan Murphy’s take on the infamous 1892 killings of her father and stepmother. Borden was acquitted in 1893, but come on, people have been arguing about that case ever since.
Jeremy Renner’s Mayor of Kingstown holds sixth, while WWE’s October 5th edition of Raw muscles into seventh. And hello again, The Gentlemen. Guy Ritchie’s crime series is back with season two at number eight.
Wonka’s The Golden Ticket takes ninth, bringing Roald Dahl’s chocolate-factory world into reality television, while A Different World rounds out the top ten with another trip to Hillman College.
