Monsta X’s Jooheon set to star in Netflix’s ‘Lost in America’

Beloved Monsta X rapper Jooheon is set to put the mic to one side for a moment and make his acting debut in the forthcoming Netflix original film Lost in America

The film comes with the synopsis: “Just days before their American debut at Madison Square Garden, a K-Pop group finds themselves mistakenly stranded in Waco, Texas. In order to make it to New York City, the group must overcome their differences.”

Jooheon will join the already confirmed cast members Rebel Wilson and Charles Melton on the call list for the project which Netflix will hope to gear up to production for very soon.

As of yet, however, details on the film remain sparse. Nevertheless, it is believed that Jooheon will take on the role of a K-pop idol who has to find his way out of Texas without his mobile phone and only his wits to get him and his band to New York City.

The project sees South Korean director Yoon Je-kyoon, known for his work on native films Haeundae and the Sex is Zero franchise, helm the project. The script was penned by Jeff Kaplan, Karen McCullah and Kirsten Smith.

Filming is currently scheduled to take place between March and June next year so hopefully, for fans, the feature will arrive before the end of 2023.
