Ahead of its much anticipated sixth and final season release in 2022, Peaky Blinders has released a brand new trailer that shows the return of the fan favourite characters as they participate in a thrilling set of events for one last time.
The creator of the BBC drama that changed the course of the genre, Steven Knight, had announced earlier that “Peaky is back and with a bang”. After the sixth season was delayed by an unprecedented amount of time due to the coronavirus pandemic, Knight described the season as a riveting one.
“We find the family in extreme jeopardy and the stakes have never been higher. We believe this will be the best series of all and are sure that our amazing fans will love it,” he added.
Although the series is coming to an end, a spin-off film is still on its way. Moody and dark, the show chronicles the escapades of the Black Country gang, infamous for their notoriety and tendency to stash dangerous razor blades in their peaked caps.
Peaky Blinders follows the character of Thomas Shelby – played by the wonderful Cillian Murphy – who is ambitious, cunning and shrewd as he tries to reach the top.
The five seasons have been a massive hit on Netflix and chronicled the various challenges, including church, law and other gang violence within the narrative.
