Netflix’s 'Stranger Things' producer says season 4 is “super worth the wait”

From Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink and David Harbour to Shawn Levy, the cast and crew for Netflix’s Stranger Things season 4 have been continuously teasing fans with a sneak peek into the updates regarding the fourth season.

While Wolfhard has talked about how it will be the “darkest” season ever, Levy, who had promised previously that the show was “coming soon enough”, has spilt the tea regarding the much-awaited season.

The Night at the Museum and Free Guy director told The Hollywood Reporter that the fourth season would be “super worth the wait”.

With lots of new cast members, including Jamie Campbell Bower, Eduardo Franco, Robert Englund, Amybeth McNulty, Myles Truitt and more, alongside the old cast comprising the likes of Wolfhard, Sink, harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Mazarratto, Noah Schnapp, Winona Ryder and more, the fourth season seems to be more exciting than ever.

The production for the fourth season had initially begun in February 2020 in Lithuania but the shooting schedule was halted temporarily due to the coronavirus pandemic, which brought about huge alterations in the shooting and production schedule.

While shooting finally re-commenced in September 2020 after a long pause, Harbour has confirmed that they will conclude filming for the fourth season in August 2021. Although the exact release date has not been released, the teaser trailer has been heightening our anticipation for a mid-2022 release.

Shawn levy had a lot to say. He spoke of how both the Duffer brothers as well as himself had been aware of the crazy hype that was accumulating for the upcoming season and expressed their desire to stream it as soon as possible. “We are long-delayed, and the Duffers and I want to share season four with the world as badly as the world wants it,” he said.

Levy also spoke of how it was not just the pandemic that delayed the season’s release but also the ambitious scale of production.

“Part of what’s taking time is long before Covid and the pandemic existed, season four was built to be by far the most ambitious, cinematic, sprawling and epic season that we’ve ever done,” he said, thus adding to our increasing expectations.

Levy concluded by saying that the “complexity of season four” is what delayed production and would make it “super worth the wait”, we cannot wait to see what exactly the show has in store for us.
