With the greatest heist in history finally coming to an end, much to the chagrin of fans, Netflix released the trailer for the final volume of the fifth season for the popular Netflix show Money Heist, aka La Casa de Papel.
With less than a month left for the slated release of the final season, the trailer already promises a grim and tense season.
According to the show’s official logline, “Tokyo is dead, and the enemy still lurks in the Bank of Spain, wounded but more dangerous than ever”.
With the Professor’s life depending on his decisions, the gang must hatch “a bold new plan to get the gold out without anyone noticing”, despite the Professor allegedly having “made the biggest mistake of his life”.
Starring Alvaro Morte, Ursula Corbero, Pedro Alonso, Itziar Ituno, Jaime Lorrente, Miguel Herran, Esther Acebo, Enrique Arce, Darko Peric, Rodrigo de la Serna and more, the final volume that is scheduled to arrive on the 3rd of December 2021, is going to be impactful, unnerving and heart-wrenching.
Talking about the intense farewell, showrunner Alex Pina said, “We decided to work in an extremely aggressive genre, putting The Gang on the ropes.”
“In volume two, we focus more on the emotional situation of the characters. It is a journey across their sentimental map that connects us directly to their departure,” he said.
