Millie Bobby Brown joins the upcoming Russo Brothers Netflix sci-fi film

Millie Bobby Brown has become a household name due to her role as Eleven in Netflix’s Stranger Things. She has now joined the cast for an upcoming Netflix sci-fi film which is being directed by the Russo brothers, namely Anthony and Joe Russo.

Known for their incredible contribution to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Russo brothers are currently gearing up for their new Netflix espionage action thriller, The Gray Man which is inarguably the streamer’s most expensive film at a staggering $200 million.

Starring Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Rege-Jean Page and other actors, the film is scheduled for a July 22nd, 2022 release.

Besides being in talks with Netflix about a subsequent trilogy franchise for The Gray Man, they have also been working on a sci-fi film which has been acquired by Netflix.

Titled The Electric State, the film will be set in a retro-futuristic past. Brown will play an orphaned teen who teams up with an eccentric drifter and an elusive robot to travel across the arid American West to look for her brother.

Based on Simon Stalenhag’s 2018 illustrated novel, the filmmakers are allegedly in talks with Chris Pratt to star in the film. Pratt has previously worked with the Russo brothers on films like Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely will be writing the script. The duo has previously collaborated with the Russo Brothers on several Marvel films, namely Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

The film production will commence this fall.

Brown will soon be seen as Eleven in the second volume of Stranger Things season four alongside David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Noah Schnapp, Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Maya Hawke, Matthew Modine, Robert Englund and Jamie Campbell Bower. The second volume will release on July 1st, 2022.
