'Bridgerton' star Rege-Jean Page leads Netflix heist film

Bridgerton breakout star Rege-Jean Page may have left the series, and its legion of sobbing fans but has been roped in to headline Fargo director Noah Hawley’s upcoming Netflix heist film.

Written and directed by Hawley, the film will be produced by Netflix in collaboration with the Russo brothers’ production company, AGBO.

Although the details of the narrative remain unknown, it is said to be an original idea. Given how riveting Fargo was, only great things can be expected from Hawley, who also serves as a co-producer. The Fargo and Legion creator is currently working on an FX TV series that is based on the famous Alien franchise.

Mike Larocca, also a part of the producing team, said, “AGBO was originally founded to allow us to collaborate with artists we greatly respect and admire. We are very happy to continue to fulfil that pledge by supporting this new film from Noah Hawley and Rege-Jean Page”.

After garnering immense popularity as the Duke of Hastings, Simon Bassett in Bridgerton, Jean-Page broke thousands of hearts when he announced that he was leaving the series.

Besides this unnamed project, Jean-Page has been roped into a Russo brothers film alongside Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas and Chris Evans, titled The Gray Man

He will also be seen in Dungeons & Dragons, a Paramount Pictures creation, joined by an ensemble cast, namely Justice Smith, Chris Pine and Michelle Rodriguez.
