‘Stranger Things’ producer craves a Ryan Reynolds cameo in the final season

Netflix released the first volume of the fourth season of Stranger Things on Friday, May 27th, 2022. After a three-year-long hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, the series has now amassed a staggering viewing time of 286 million hours in the first weekend of its release.

Created by the Duffer brothers, Matt and Ross, the fourth season has seven episodes in the first volume. The season is gory, scary and darker than ever, with a nightmare-inducing evil named Vecna haunting the town of Hawkins. Meanwhile, Eleven and Hopper deal with their personal hell in California and Kamchatka, Russia.

After a very successful release, the Duffers and the executive producer, Shawn Levy, have begun teasing details about the fifth and final season. According to Levy, the fifth season will be “emotional” and “cinematic”.

Now, Levy has revealed that he would love a Ryan Reynolds cameo in the fifth season finale, which would be a mix of crazy and wild.

Since its release in 2016, Stranger Things has featured an ensemble cast of predominantly unknown actors whose careers have catapulted into superstardom upon the show’s release. Among actors like Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Priah Ferguson and others, Winona Ryder has been the most popular name.

Brown, Wolfhard, Harbour, Keery and McLaughlin have appeared in major films, namely Ghostbusters, Black Widow, Free Guy, Godzilla vs Kong, It, Concrete Cowboy etc.

Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy have been longtime collaborators. Reynolds is a natural box office charmer.

With hits like Free Guy, The Adam Project, Red Notice, Deadpool and more under his belt, the actor has been involved in successful Netflix productions that have set new records and generated massive revenue.

Levy expressed his interest in the prospect of having two distinct worlds collide and create an explosive final season. “I want to see a Ryan Reynolds cameo in anything,” shared Levy. “The truth is, my career over the past half-decade has been defined by Stranger Things and my collaborations with Ryan, so it would be deeply trippy but satisfying to see my two worlds collide. So, Ryan Reynolds, get ready for season five.”

While it might be a little bizarre to see Reynolds in the series, he usually makes everything more charming with his presence. After all, who wouldn’t enjoy a Deadpool and Eleven team-up against Vecna and the Demogorgon?

The second volume of Stranger Things season four will release on Netflix on July 1st, 2022, with two feature-length episodes.
