Missing some K-action on Netflix? Well, the wait is almost over! A brand-new action-comedy film, Husbands in Action, is gearing up to bring you a mix of funny bones and cutthroat punches this June.
Directed by Park Gyu Tae, the upcoming South Korean Netflix Original action-comedy is produced by TPS Company, the studio behind smash hit Korean features including Hard Hit, SEOBOK, Fabricated City, and 6/45.
Announced as part of Netflix’s 2026 Korean Slate, production on Husbands in Action officially wrapped in late 2025, after shooting kicked off earlier in May of that year. As of yet, the K-dramedy is in post-production.

What is the plot?
Husbands in Action is a forthcoming K-action-comedy that follows Detective Chung Sik, who captures a notorious drug lord at the start of the film after years of cat-and-mouse chase, only to be left with no time for celebration. While the ultimate arrest is good news, what’s not is that his ex-wife has been abducted, and Chung Sik needs to spring back into action.
As the detective takes on the rescue mission, he’s left with no choice but to join forces with his ex-wife’s present husband, Min Seok, a mild-mannered veteran. And with the toppling of the drug lord, the power vacuum has a new gang leader, Do Jun and rival boss Yong Gang fighting like dogs and cats. So, it’s safe to say that Chung Sik has a lot on his plate right now.
Who is in the cast?
Netflix has confirmed six main leads appearing in Husbands in Action: Jin Seon Kyu, Gong Myung, Kim Ji Suk, Yoon Kyung Ho, Kang Han Na, and Lee Da Hee. Jin Seon Kyu, who has previously starred in The Uncanny Counter on Netflix, portrays Chung Sik, while Gong Myung, who has previously appeared in Melodramatic, plays Min Seok.
Kim Ji Suk, well known for his Netflix roles in Destined with You and When the Camellia Blooms, stars as Do Jun, Yoon Kyung Ho, whose Netflix credits include The Sound of Magic and All of Us Are Dead, stars as Yong Gang, My Roommate Is a Gumiho actor Kang Han Na plays Sim Ae, and the Mr Plankton guest star Lee Da Hee portrays Hye Ran.
