Why you should be excited for ‘Forever’ season two
The fan-favourite romantic teen drama, Forever, loosely based on Judy Blume’s novel, has officially got its cameras rolling for its sophomore season, meaning it’s time we welcome back our beloved on-again, off-again couple Keisha Clark and Justin Edwards on Netflix.
The last time viewers saw the two, Keisha was headed to Howard University to make her dreams a reality, while Justin thought, “Why not bank on the new ones?” in LA’s competitive music scene.
With both tied back by the stronghold of ambition, all they could do was share one last kiss on the forehead. But now that season two is officially in the works in the City of Angels, it’s time for the tables to turn. “Season 2 of Forever is in production, and we are home – back in Los Angeles, back inside a love story that keeps revealing itself. This time, through friendship, creator and showrunner Mara Brock Akil told Tudum.

What will happen in Forever season two?
The second season of the YA romance series, Forever, takes place four years after Keisha and Justin go their own ways. While they’re doing pretty well in their respective lives, personally, professionally, and also in terms of relationships, that’s all until they stumble across each other in the summer of 2023, bringing back memories and desires they thought they buried long ago.
Who is in the cast?
Lovie Simone and Michael Cooper Jr are confirmed to return as Keisha and Justin in the second season of Forever. Meanwhile, joining the duo are Malaika Guttoh as Ameena, Avery Wills Jr as Jaden, and Tre McBride as Elijah. Guttoh has joined the cast as a series regular, while Wills Jr and McBride have recurring guest roles.
In addition to Simone and Cooper, series regulars Karen Pittman as Dawn, Wood Harris as Eric, and Zosha Roquemore as Shelly are confirmed to return in season two.
Is there a trailer?
