While Netflix already introduced viewers to Party Games early on, the Jackbox Party Essentials now plans to level up the gaming experience with Drawful 2, Fibbage 4, and Quiplash 3.

For those curious about whether these new gaming experiences demand additional hardware, the answer is no. So, if that interests you, here’s an overview of everything you should know about Jackbox Party Essentials Games on Netflix.

What is Jackbox Party Essentials Games about?

Jackbox Party Essentials on Netflix is a quick, easy, and funny way to get your friends and family writing and drawing the most ridiculous things possible. The party game collection comprises the latest versions of three iconic games from the franchise, promising hours of entertainment. All players require is a Netflix subscription and a few friends and family members who are equally crazy and fun-loving.

What kind of game is it?

Jackbox Party Essentials consists of three games in one: Fibbage 4, Quiplash 3, and Drawful 2. These games are the perfect representation of the Jackbox franchise, and here’s how you can play them.

Drawful 2 (Players: 3-8, Game Length: 15-20 minutes)

In Drawful 2, players get prompts, in which they’re allotted limited tools and no eraser to sketch their responses to the prompt. Once you’re done with the sketch, everyone in the room has to guess what your scribble is supposed to mean. Fake answers are diluted with the real prompts; as a result, if you guess the right one, you’ll earn points. Meanwhile, the artist will earn additional points for each correct guess by the other person present in the room, and in case someone allies with your fake answer, you’ll earn a point too.

Fibbage 4 (Players: 2-8, Game Length: 15-20 minutes)

In Fibbage 4, one needs to sell a lie. Host Cookie Masterson reads a fact with a crucial word missing. Everyone has to guess the word and then vote on which answer could be the truth. While of course, you’ll earn points for finding the truth, you’ll also earn them whenever your friends believe your lie. In the third round, the stakes get higher when you have to curate a single lie to fit two separate blanks. But once you fool enough people, no one can stop you from becoming the winner, winner, chicken dinner.

Quiplash 3 (Players: 3-8, Game Length: 15-20 minutes)

Lastly, Quiplash 3 is a comedy battle, where every player answers the same prompt and the room selects their favourite. Points earned start doubling in round two, and the third round brings the Thriplash, in which players have to answer three slapstick responses for a single prompt. However, the only catch is that if you and someone else have the same answer, neither gets the score.
