While it deals with one’s dwindling sanity and the inability to distinguish between the real and the hallucinatory, the film revolves around the physical and psychological effects of sleep paralysis and the subsequent impact on the patient’s mind or body.
Tarring Bethan Waller as the lead protagonist, Lucy, the film sees her as a medical student suffering from severe bouts of sleep paralysis. Subsequently, a demonic entity that threatens to rip apart her sanity begins haunting Lucy.
After she moves in with her boyfriend, things worsen, and she seeks the help of a priest who performs a dangerous exorcism on her.
