Watch the Netflix show that ‘Euphoria’ star Zendaya loves

Zendaya has become an extremely popular figure in the cinema industry given her phenomenal performance in the HBO Max show Euphoria. Born Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman, Zendaya began her career as a child model and backup dancer before getting scouted by Disney Channel to be a part of Shake It Up. 

Zendaya was recently seen in various films, including The Greatest Showman, the Spider-Man trilogy opposite her partner, Tom Holland, Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, Netflix’s Malcolm & Marie and Euphoria. Besides displaying her prolific acting skills and voiceover skills, Zendaya is an established model, fashion icon and has been an inspiration to multitudes of young people of colour. 

The youngest recipient of a Primetime Emmy Award for her brilliant performance in Euphoria, Zendaya’s contribution has also helped the series catapult into superstardom. Essentially a tale about the teenage identity and high school experiences infused with love, friendship, sex and drugs, Euphoria is an adaptation of the eponymous Israeli show. 

Zendaya stars as a 17-year-old drug addict named Rue whose heartfelt and heartbreaking vulnerability has been appreciated by all, including the rapper Meghan Thee Stallion who went on to call her the “best actress” on the show. 

Meghan said, “I know her [Zendaya] and she’s so good, so sweet, and when I watched her for the first time on Euphoria, I was like, ‘Who is this? You don’t do this.’ But she’s the best actress, and perfectly cast.”

Zendaya’s upcoming projects include a variety of exciting challenges, including a sequel to Villeneuve’s Dune, alongside Timothee Chalamet. However, ever wondered what shows Zendaya loves watching?

Previously Zendaya had revealed that she loves bingeing on a variety of TV shows. Besides  Shameless, The Handmaid’s Tale and This Is Us, there is one of Zendaya’s favourite shows that is now streaming on Netflix. 

While Frank Darabont’s zombie apocalyptic western series, The Walking Dead, starring Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal, Laurie Holden and others apparently stressed her out, she is a huge fan of Grace & Frankie and Grey’s Anatomy. 

Currently streaming on Netflix, Marta Kaufman and Howard J. Morris’s 2015 show Grace & Frankie revolves around the friendship of two elderly women whose husbands fall in love with each other and desert them. It stars Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin in major roles and the two veteran actresses add a certain age-old charm to their individual characters and the series at large.

A highly underrated and hilarious Netflix show that deals with topics of romance, age, health and friendship, no wonder a hopeless romantic like Zendaya enjoy the series!
