Watch Netflix’s 'Lucifer' season 6 trailer

Netflix has just dropped the jaw-dropping trailer for the final season of Lucifer, and it is seriously a lot to take. Scheduled to arrive on September 10, 2021, the season finale will most likely be a fitting end to this bizarre and funny show about the Devil-turned-God.

The trailer starts with Chloe and Lucifer being questioned as murder witnesses, and Lucifer keeps confusing the detective by talking about how he is the Devil with his quintessential nonchalance. At the same time, Chloe cracks a joke about Lucifer being “sensitive” to the age question as she herself does not know his age. Lucifer confounds the detective by talking about how he was bribing a cop on the night of the murder, speaking of his job at the LAPD and how he was God but not quite. Interesting, right?

Amenadiel urges Lucifer to sit atop their Father’s throne while Choe plays the literal Devil’s advocate, saying how Lucifer should take things at his own pace. Lucifer is back at Linda’s office and sharing his woes.

We get a sneak peek into Lucifer’s actual throne, which is long, pointy and filled with spikes. However, a new angel named Rory has already taken over the throne and has an agenda. She wants to “destroy Lucifer Morningstar”.

Ella notices how the normal order of things on Earth slowly disintegrates and thinks that “the apocalypse is nigh”. Lucifer deals with the same by taking a frivolous vacation to Columbia, where he can be seen singing and dancing away from his woes.

The final season will most likely closely explore Chloe and Lucifer’s relationship. We see them as cartoons, and we see them as a couple. The Devil becomes the God, there is a paradox about hope and redemption, Lucifer keeps saying “bollocks”, and the season is surely going to be an utter madhouse that will end with a resounding bang.

In the very last sequence, we see Chloe talking about how they still have “one mystery to solve” about the murder of Lucifer Morningstar before attacking him and nearly plunging a knife into his heart. Lucifer says, “I certainly did not see this coming!” Well, neither did we, and we are even more excited to see what the season has in store for us!
