Netflix reveals Lucifer season 6 release date

Lucifer is going to be back with a bang on Netflix with its final season and they have finally unveiled the release date through the show’s official Instagram handle. 

The post says that the final season shall be arriving exactly a month from now, on September 10, 2021. After an amazing fifth season, the show is finally ready to come to an end.

Tom Ellis took to Instagram to share the news with his fans. He plays Lucifer, the Prince of Hell and wrote “the end is nigh!”

The post is accompanied by a teaser that shows various pieces of footage from the previous three seasons where the characters are seen in various specific events. Lucifer is then seen driving his car through the streets when a cop catches him. In his ever-charming voice, he huffs and apologises, before claiming that it is is “last night in L.A.”. 

The show has been extremely popular among fans as it shows a rather urbanised and modern form of Lucifer who owns the LUX nightclub, solves murder mysteries with LAPD detective Chloe and has a suave, charming personality.

Created in 2016 by Fox originally, the show is based on The Sandman creator Neil Gaiman’s DC comics character. 

One of the most highly anticipated shows in the fantasy genre, fans are surely in for a treat on September 10, 2021.
