Netflix’s Tiger King is one of the most popular titles of the platform’s growing career. It found success due to the bizarre and fascinating premise of the story. Ahead of the series release, Netflix recently dropped the crazy trailer.
After the docuseries, Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness took Netflix by storm by recounting the wild story about Joe Exotic, the self-proclaimed Tiger King, who had an obsession with wild cats that he kept at his Wynnewood zoo, named G.W. Exotic Animal Zoo.
Exotic was charged with the murder-for-hire plot against his arch-nemesis Carole Baskin as well as for his unprecedented crimes against animals. Exotic is now serving 22-year imprisonment.
Directed by Eric Goode and Rebecca Chaiklin, the sequel series is executive produced by Fisher Stevens and Chris Smith, the second season will take a look into how “sudden fame and unwanted attention from the authorities turns up the heat and unearths some stunning revelations”.
The trailer hears a voice-over from the infamous Maldonado-Passage interview and foreshadows an investigation into the mysterious disappearance of Baskin’s husband who was later declared dead.
