Riverdale season six is almost upon us, so what better way to get ourselves into the spirit than by revisiting season five? But, rather than dive into the storylines, and to save us writing “spoiler alert” every three sentences, we thought we should take a look at the scenes that didn’t make the cut as we look back at the blooper reel from season five.
The streaming platform has revealed that it will drop the series on August 7th, and all 22 episodes will be available for subscribers. It lands on Netflix only a week after the finale airs on The CW.
The new season looks set to be an exciting one. As the trailer dropped a few weeks back, it alluded to a welcomed crossover as Kiernan Shipka, who stars as Sabrina Spellman, popped up in the dark and dangerous trailer, paying a visit to Cheryl Blossom and admitting to the ancient curse she had unleashed on the town.
The show celebrated its 100th episode during the last season and had fun creating new parallel universes and employing a true-to-text 1950s aesthetic. However, it wasn’t all plain sailing as Hiram Lodge was exiled from the town. All told, the fifth season was another huge success for the show.
But some of the funniest moments weren’t delivered on screen but kept back in the editing room. Below, we’re looking back at some of those blooper moments as Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, and the rest of the gang get up to mischief.
If you wanted to see Archie as a firefighter, then you’re in luck. Equally, if you were hoping to see Cole Sprouse mess up some lines, then you’re doubly in luck. Elsewhere, we get a feel for the set, which houses our favourite characters, and it seems like a fun place to be.
