‘Untold’ is set to return with three new stories this August
The acclaimed sports docu-series, Untold, is officially ready for its Netflix comeback this August, and we know you cannot wait already.
Premiering on August 25th, Untold brings three new standalone films about some of the most high-profile figures that extend beyond the world of sports.
The forthcoming batch of documentaries in the Untold series promises to bring unfiltered first-person perspectives of legendary cultural icons, offering three weeks of raw, insightful entertainment and a peek into the very sport.
The first film is titled Untold: The Testimony of Vince Young, which details the University of Texas football legend’s rise and downfall, exploring the immense pressure of stardom after his single, career-defining game. The documentary is a raw showcase of Young’s emotional journey through “fumbles, failures, and finding freedom.”
Next on the list is Untold Raygun: Breaking Badly, which dives deep into the rise, fall and transformation of the divisive personality Rachel “Raygun” Gunn, an academic and competitive breakdancer who made headlines following her 2024 Olympic debut.
While her stunning performance at the games was all over the Internet, simultaneously, the online space was raging with memes, conspiracy theories, and misinformation questioning her talent.
The third and last entry of the Untold docuseries is Untold Mr T: I Pity the Fool, chronicling the inspiring origin story of Laurence Tureaud, AKA Mr T, one of the most unlikely and fan-favourite figures in the world of entertainment.
Although the Untold docuseries has been captivating fans for over a decade, this is not the first offering of 2026.
Before the summer of soccer, Untold went to the UK and peeled back the sensational world of English football, with documentaries focusing on Premier League star Jamie Vardy, Liverpool’s stunning 2005 Champions League-winning team, and the polarised professional-player-turned-actor Vinnie Jones.
And even before that, Untold shed light on four high-profile sports scandals about NBA champion Lamar Odom, the Magnus Carlsen vs Hans Neimann controversy, the early-2000s Portland Trail Blazers, and the shocking shooting at Hawthorne Hill.
