Netflix have revealed the trailer for the upcoming Korean film Kill Boksoon as well as the date on which the film will premiere on the streaming service. Kill Boksoon will star Cannes winner Jeon Do-yeon as Gil-Boksoon, who has to simultaneously manage her roles as a single mother with a teenage daughter and as a professional contract assassin.
However, she finds herself wondering whether or not to resign from her contract with the assassin agency, suddenly thinking it may be better for her to start spending more time with her daughter, who is having difficulties of her own. This culminates when Gil obtains information about her next target, as they will be present at her daughter’s next parents’ evening.
Jeon has starred in a number of acclaimed Korean films and TV series, including Happy End, Untold Scandal, The Housemaid and Emergency Declaration. She won the ‘Best Actress’ Award at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival for her performance in Secret Sunshine by Lee Chang-dong.
