The series and movies leaving Netflix this week

Nothing great lasts forever, and this is true of the content available on Netflix, too. That’s why we’re here to let you know about the series and movies leaving Netflix this week.

Admittedly, this week doesn’t see a massive amount of content leaving the service, with Netflix sparing us the disappointment of removing some of our favourite shows and movies. The first piece of content to be removed will be the 2020 horror film What Lies Below, starring Ema Horvath, Trey Tucker and Mena Suvari, which follows a teenage girl who suspects something might be off with her mother’s fiancé.

Mere days later and Netflix is removing yet another horror flick, this time getting rid of the 2016 film Hush, which tells the story of a deaf and mute writer who retreats to the woods to live a life of solitude when a masked killer suddenly appears at her door.

Finally, the only series to be leaving the platform this week is seasons one to seven of 20th Century Fox’s New Girl, a beloved sitcom that stars the likes of Zooey Deschanel, Max Greenfield, Jake Johnson and Lamorne Morris. Though fans of Hush and What Lies Below might be able to get over their favourite horrors leaving the platform, we have a feeling there will be far more people mourning the loss of New Girl.
