‘The Glory’ is most-watched TV series on Netflix this week

It has been announced that the popular K-drama series The Glory is the most-watched programme on Netflix for the second week running. The gritty vengeance thriller racked up over 124million hours viewed in its first week and has continued to reap the watchers.

According to data from Netflix’s latest weekly lists of top-ten most-watched TV shows and movies, The Glory totals 123.59million hours viewed for the week of March 13th to 19th. The figures show only a slight decline following its impressive peak on the platform last week.

The Glory has now become the seventh most-popular Non-English TV release on Netflix to date, with a current total of 380million hours viewed within its first 28 days of release. Part two of the K-drama premiered on March 10th, three months after the first season arrived at the end of December 2022.

Elsewhere on this week’s top ten reports, season four of You has enjoyed its fifth week in the ranking with 64million hours viewed. Trailing close behind is the newly released second season of Shadow and Bone, which boasts just over 50million hours viewed.

Meanwhile, Luther: The Fallen Sun, the movie follow-up of the hit BBC series, has held its reign at the top of the movie list this week with 69million hours viewed. The movie sees the return of Idris Elba’s titular character as he breaks from the clutches of the law.

Despite positive reviews, some fans have noticed an inconsistency between the series’ ending and the movie, which the show’s creator has since commented on.
