5. Things Heard & Seen (2021)

An artist decides to move into a large farmhouse with her husband. Catherine Claire (Amanda Seyfried), who is an art restorer, makes the move with her husband George and daughter Franny. Catherine has bulimia and feels deeply isolated in their new home. Soon she starts noticing things that are weird and twisted about her new home.

4. Blood Red Sky (2021)

The story begins panning out when a group of terrorists happen to hijack an overnight transatlantic flight. What begins as a usual plane hijack trope evolves into something even darker when the hijackers fall short of taking notice of a particular passenger. This mysteriously ill woman unleashes the wrath of her scary and dark secret in order to save her own young son.

3. Eli (2019)

Eli is a boy who is suffering from a rare form of autoimmune disorder. This is when he finds himself trapped in a house while undergoing a rather mysterious treatment.

Vulnerable and ripe for horror, the treatment takes place under a doctor using unconventional methods to treat his patients. On the verge of his own death, Eli unleashes his demonic powers in an attempt to save himself.

2. 1922 (2017)

Directed by Zak Hilditch, 1922 has been on the streamer for a good while. However, it has been easy to overlook this hidden gem amid the constant content overflow. Based on Stephen King’s novella, the story takes place around a farmer who is conspiring to murder his wife for monetary gain. He manages to convince his son to come on board. The duo soon become delusional and haunted by their plots and guilt.

Velvet Buzzsaw is an American dark comedy horror film taking place in the realm of art. With an ensemble cast including Jake Gyllenhaal, Tom Sturridge, Toni Colette, John Malkovich, and Zawe Ashton, amongst many others.

When the paintings of an unknown artist are discovered, the ghosts within the pieces start to haunt and destroy the lives of those who prioritise their lust for greed over art. A peculiar and must-watch for anyone who loves everything out of the box, literally.
