The films and series coming to Netflix this month: September 2024
Summer is slipping away and the season of streaming is upon us. As the days begin to get shorter and the nights get colder, the idea of watching Selling Sunset on the sofa seems far more appealing than shivering in a beer garden. Luckily, Netflix have a whole host of new titles hitting the platform throughout September.
A huge selection of films will hit Netflix on the first of the month, including the first three films in the Expendables series, the first three Jaws films and the beloved Stand by Me. Several family favourites will also arrive on Netflix the same day, including Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit and Shark Tale.
September will also provide Selling Sunset fans with another look at the inner workings of the Oppenheim Group. Season eight of the increasingly iconic reality show hits Netflix on September 6th, promising more drama and more jaw-dropping properties.
Selling Sunset isn’t the only reality show that returns this month. Season seven of The Circle will also arrive on Netflix slightly later in September, introducing fans to a new cast of hopeful social media competitors.
September 10th proves to be particularly lucrative for comedy fans. Ahir Shah’s stand-up set Ends will arrive on the platform, tackling topics of immigration and politics through humour, while Jack Whitehall returns with Fatherhood with my Father.
McG’s Uglies is also scheduled for release this month, taking its story and title from the novel of the same name. Joey King stars in the main role, after previously appearing in Netflix’s rom-com trilogy The Kissing Booth.
Several 30 for 30 documentary films will also arrive on the streaming service this month, alongside the second instalment of Ryan Murphy’s Monster anthology series. After finding success with Dahmer in 2022, Murphy returns with a second season focused on Lyle and Erik Menendez.
