The best on-set bloopers from Netflix’s 'One Piece' season one

Netflix hit the jackpot with its live-action adaptation of the beloved anime and manga series One Piece.

For the uninitiated, One Piece is an epic adventure anime and manga series that revolves around Monkey D. Luffy’s quest to become the Pirate King. With his loyal crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy embarks on a journey across the treacherous Grand Line, seeking the ultimate treasure that once belonged to Pirate King Gold Roger. On their quest to find the One Piece, they encounter formidable foes, unique islands, and fascinating characters, some of whom we have already met in season one of the show.

The show, which debuted earlier this year, has been nothing short of a spectacular success. Since its late August premiere, One Piece has consistently ranked in Netflix’s top ten, drawing in millions of viewers.

The second season of the series got greenlit within two weeks of its debut on Netflix, which only shows the faith everyone gained from its success. And as a delightful treat for fans, the streaming giant has recently unveiled a blooper reel from the series.

One Piece’s original creator, Eiichiro Oda, played a pivotal role in ensuring the authenticity and faithfulness of the Netflix adaptation. He meticulously oversaw every step of the series’ development, and his involvement has been paramount in the show’s triumph.

The success of One Piece can also be attributed to the dedicated work of creators Matt Owens and Steven Mead, who have faithfully brought the world of Oda’s masterpiece to life.

The blooper reel showcases the cast of One Piece in their element, from the suave Kuro stumbling down the stairs to Arlong’s jagged fish nose getting caught in everyone’s hair.

Given the grandeur of a production like One Piece, it’s only natural that the cast and crew were aware of the high stakes. For fans of the series, this peek into the lighter side of their favourite pirates is a delight.
