The 10 most popular series on Netflix US this week: September 2026

Netflix US viewers have apparently decided that sticking to one mood is overrated, because the chart this week reads like some people just kept on bingeing things without giving the genre a long thought. Well, who’s blaming them? Predictable taste is boring anyway.

Death of the Pastor’s Wife is still trending at number one on the US chart. It keeps Mica Miller’s story in front of viewers, but the series does more than recap her death. It works with her texts and police reports while people close to Mica describe the marriage she had been trying to leave. Yeesh. No wonder it’s trending so much.

Instadocs: The Decoy Plane comes from Netflix’s attempt to make documentaries while a news story is fresh. The episode reconstructs President Donald Trump’s secret aircraft switch through firsthand accounts from reporters who were on the trip and people familiar with Air Force One operations. Can you imagine the press kept flying without knowing he had left? That’s enough to sell the show.

The Gentlemen season two might not be doing so well in the US, but it is ranking number one globally. This time, Eddie Horniman was removed from the reluctant duke viewers met before. A year into the business, he is questioning Bobby Glass’s judgement, with Susie facing the same problem.

Earle Meets World is enjoying its second week in the chart. The show has finally given Alix Earle the reality-TV treatment after years of letting followers know her through social media. The series gets into her breakup with Braxton Berrios and her fallout with Alex Cooper, so anyone who thought Instagram had told the whole story may want to reconsider.

Then comes Raw, and, well, WWE had quite a night. Bayley made her return during a Money in the Bank qualifying match, while Royce Keys and his crew took things much further by setting The Usos’ car on fire. Yeah, subtle was never on the agenda.

The rest gets packed together, with Crew Girl keeping its place as Beauty in Black season three stays on viewers’ radar. Danny Go! season two has the younger crowd covered, The Gentlemen season one is back beside season two, and Ms Rachel season one closes things out.
