The 10 most popular series on Netflix this week: April 2026
Netflix this week’s a bit all over the place, but in a good way, though. As usual, we have a bit of everything, with drama and comedy stealing the spotlight, with an influencer carry-on also making it to the list, and how cool is it that it all ends up in the same place? Shouldn’t really work, but it does.
Topping the charts, we have Unchosen. In the first week of its release, the show has gathered over 10 million viewers, and there’s no stop to it. It follows Rosie (Molly Windsor) stuck in a proper, strict religious community where even asking the wrong question can get you in trouble. You’ve also got Asa Butterfield in there with Christopher Eccleston, so you know this Netflix show is not messing about. Nothing over the top, just that tension heating the air up as Rosie starts thinking for herself, and you can see it building, bit by bit, where it’s all going.
Then there’s Running Point, with a completely different energy from Unchosen. Kate Hudson is back as Isla Gordon, trying to run a basketball team while her family keeps making things harder than they need to be. Her brother Cam (Justin Theroux) is a bit of a problem, especially this time round. It’s loosely based on Jeanie Buss, so know that there is something real underneath it all. Easy watch with comedy on the side.
Ahh, another important release of the month, April, was season two of BEEF, which again takes you back to the heavier territory. While last season was more about random anger, this one is focusing on ego and money. This season, people are thinking they know best. Carey Mulligan and Oscar Isaac lead it, and it all starts with small decisions that just keep making things worse.
Then WWE Raw April 20th episode, and this one was straight after WrestleMania, setting up what’s coming next. Roman Reigns came out as the new World Heavyweight Champion, but didn’t get long before Jacob Fatu interrupted and made his intentions clear. Alongside that, a few new NXT faces showed up to shake things up, and matches such as Rhea Ripley teaming with Iyo Sky and Finn Bálor facing JD McDonagh moved existing rivalries forward.
Next in line is With Hulk Hogan: Real American, which is more about Terry Bollea, the man behind it all. The docuseries shows everything from his rise, the peak and everything that came after.
Then there is the influencer father-daughter duo, Salish & Jordan Matter, which was just released on Netflix and is getting viewed by the people who like influencers. Father and daughter are doing challenges clearly aimed at a younger crowd.
Further down, Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 is back from the makers of Stranger Things, but it didn’t perform as well as it was expected to. Ending the list, we have Trust Me: The False Prophet, The Staircase, and Million Dollar Secret, bringing in the crime and reality side of things to round it all out.
