When it comes to the most popular movies chart, Netflix rarely disappoints. And this week is no exception.

During the week of September 21st to September 27th, Janus Metz Pedersen’s UNABOMBER amassed a whopping 16.4million views and debuted at the top of the most popular movies chart. As of now, the gripping crime thriller on Ted Kaczynski’s life, crimes, and two-decade FBI-led manhunt is the number one movie in 47 countries, including Argentina, Canada, Uruguay, Venezuela, Austria, Belgium, and the United Kingdom, among others.

Ranked second on the most popular movies chart this week is Netflix’s newest dance comedy Best of the Best, starring Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Priyanka Kedia. In its second week on Netflix’s weekly chart, the drama garnered 7.3million views, becoming the number one movie in four countries – Kenya, Mauritius, South Africa, and Trinidad & Tobago.

Next in line is the 2025 adventure-fantasy-comedy, A Minecraft Movie, based on the popular video game of the same name, at number three. With 7million views, the laugh-out-loud Jason Momoa and Black Jack-starrer is currently the number-one title in six countries, including Bolivia, Brazil, Guatemala, Mexico, Singapore, and Taiwan.

In fourth place, Netflix has an adrenaline-fueled action blast from the past, Riot, trending on the most popular movies chart with 4.4million views. While the action-thriller is the number-one movie in 14 countries this week, ranked fifth is the serial-killer mystery based on Alex North’s bestselling novel, The Whisper Man.

Up next on the most popular movies chart, Black Adam returned with 3.5million views in sixth, followed by The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare at seventh with 3.4million views.

For those curious about what’s trending next on Netflix, Tyler Perry’s threequel, Why Did I Get Married Again? is ranked eighth with 3.1million views on the most popular movies chart after dominating the top spot for two consecutive weeks.

The final two entries on this week’s most popular movies chart are the Oscar-winning KPop Demon Hunters with 2.5million views in ninth, and Top Gun: Maverick with another 2.5million views in tenth. And with those, we officially come to a close for the week ending September 27th.
