Tyler Perry invited viewers to a big, fat cinematic wedding early in September, and all they have heard since are wedding bells on Netflix’s most popular movies chart.

During the week of September 14th to September 20th, Why Did I Get Married Again? strengthened its hold on the most popular movies chart for a second straight week. With 9.7million views, the threequel has again come out on top, becoming the number-one movie in 12 countries, including the Bahamas, Guadeloupe, Jamaica, Martinique, and Trinidad & Tobago, among others.

Ranked second on the most popular movies chart this week is James Ashcroft’s star-studded The Whisper Man with 6.2million views. In its fourth consecutive week on the Netflix chart, the serial-killer mystery movie remains the number one movie in 14 countries, including Belgium, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Estonia, and Croatia.

Up next on the most popular movies chart is the adrenaline-fueled action-thriller, Riot, starring Matthew Reese. The 2015 movie has amassed a whopping 5.2million views and is the number one movie in 18 countries, from Argentina, Bolivia, and Brazil to Chile, Colombia, and Costa Rica.

Following closely is a Lifetime thriller, The Seemingly Perfect Family, with 4.6million views. Despite being bombed by critics worldwide, the 2026 movie is surprisingly making waves on streaming without missing. Succeeding it on the most popular movies chart this week is the Netflix Original dance comedy Best of the Best, starring Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Priyanka Kedia, with 4.3million views.

In sixth position, Netflix has a Henry Cavill-starrer sprinkling streaming magic. Directed by Guy Ritchie, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, which recently hit Netflix shelves in several regions, is currently rising through the ranks with 3.4million views.

If you thought Netflix’s weekly chart is animation-free, you’re gravely mistaken. Ranked seventh on the most popular movies chart is Puss in Boots: The Last Wish with 2.7million views. The animated adventure comedy is currently on its seventh non-consecutive week. Meanwhile, the title succeeding it is also an animated gem, KPop Demon Hunters, with 2.5million views.

Moving on to the final two entries, Netflix has A Minecraft Movie ranked ninth on the most popular movies chart this week with 2.5million views. Rounding out the cinematic trends once and for all is the fan-favourite animated fantasy comedy Shrek with 2.2million views. And with that, it’s a wrap!
