Finding a perfect movie for the week is not always as easy as one might think, especially when there are so many top-draw films to sink your teeth into. However, Netflix’s most popular charts are the perfect place to start your search.
The term ‘most popular’ is always a difficult one to ascertain. But, through the sheer number of watched hours, it is easy to understand whether a movie is worth your time. This week sees very few new additions but offers a few titles that should be considered for viewing pleasure.
The only new entry t this week’s chart is Time Trap, a 2017 action-adventure movie built out of underground tension. The official synopsis reads: “To find their missing professor, a group of students ventures into the cave where he disappeared and uncover a bizarre mystery that alters their reality.”
Outside of that movie, there is very little newness to share. However, there are a couple of movies worth watching. The Whitney Houston biopic Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody is perhaps the most pertinent, offering a no-holds-barred view of the iconic singer; it is second in the chart with 10million hours of viewing.
Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston’s crime caper across Europe Murder Mystery 2 is enjoying its fifth week in the charts and is certainly worthy of a popcorn-munching watch. Though it offers little else other than entertainment, it has enough laughs and action to keep smiles on faces.
By far the most popular film of the week is A Tourist’s Guide To Love. The synopsis for this rom-com reads: “After an unexpected breakup, a travel executive accepts an assignment to go under cover and learn about the tourist industry in Vietnam. Along the way, she finds adventure and romance with her Vietnamese expat tour guide.”
