'Terminator 2: Judgment Day' is headed to Netflix US

Want to unwind with an action movie this weekend but don’t fancy anything conjured by modern Hollywood? Well, then you’ll be pleased to hear that Netflix has just added one of the greatest action flicks of all time to its streaming service, James Cameron’s 1991 classic, Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, the dystopian drama tells the story of a world where AI has run riot, leading to the creation of killer cyborgs that take over humanity. At the very same time, a resistance movement sends a friendly cyborg back in time to try and prevent the chaos from unfurling at all in the first place.

A classic of science fiction filmmaking, Terminator 2: Judgment Day changed the careers of everyone involved, leading to further franchise success for Schwarzenegger and more trust instilled in the talents of Cameron, who would move on to a number of equally ambitious projects.

Alongside Schwarzenegger, the movie also featured Linda Hamilton, Robert Patrick, Edward Furlong and Joe Morton.

Sadly, however, Terminator 2: Judgment Day won’t be available in every single region, currently only streaming in the US, whilst the UK has to settle for the 2003 film Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.
