See Leatherface's new mask for 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre'

After Netflix’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre revealed its official trailer, fans were downright delighted by how incredibly terrifying the preface seemed. Ahead of its February 18th, 2022 premiere, the film has already garnered quite the buzz.

With an ominous background score that foreshadows impending catastrophe, the trailer shows the infamous chainsaw that hints at the return of the iconic masked villain, Leatherface.

Taking place directly after the events of the 1974 Tobe Hooper eponymous original film, Fede Alvarez’s Netflix film will show the psychotic maniac butt heads with the sole survivor from the original film, Sally Hardesty.

This takes place after the villain is risen from his slumber by the arrival of a few friends who want to start a new business. Leatherface wields his deadly saw once again to live up to his blood-soaked legacy.

Starring Sarah Yarkin, Elsie Fisher, Jacob Latimore, Nell Hudson and Olwen Fuoere, the role of Leatherface will be portrayed by Mark Burnham. After Gunnar Hansen’s brilliant performance as the maniacal villain in the original, Burnham has a lot to live up to.

Besides his characteristic chainsaw, Leatherface is discernible by the nasty mask he wears, made of human skin, to conceal his identity.

Recently, Netflix has released a poster that shows off his new mask that makes him look even more deranged and horrifying.
