Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to work on Netflix film

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s biographer has said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are “aiming so high” with their Netflix deal and hinted a film could be in the offing.

Omid Scobie is currently working on their unauthorised biography Finding Freedom and has claimed to have had a conversation with Netflix regarding the same project. He even cheekily added the public “don’t know the half” of what is in store for the fans in 2022.

On the podcast Royally Obsessed, he let slip details about the most talked about couple in the world. The 38-year-old said, “All that was said to me was, ‘Oh man, you don’t even know the half of what they’re working on. They are aiming so high’.”

He added, “I think one thing that may surprise at some point, and this is just my own guess, is when we’re going to hear some sort of movie announcement.”

Meghan and Harry signed a multi-year deal with Netflix, which raised anticipation among their fan base. “It’s only a matter of time before they have acquired the rights to a really incredible story that they’re able to bring to life through a movie or television drama,” Scobie said.

He then talked about how he found it “really exciting” to receive an insight into the well-guarded lives of the duo. Expanding on his point, Scobie added, “It’s a side of them we’ve never seen or heard of before but one they’re really eager to get into.”

Although he acknowledged the step to be challenging, Scobie maintained any project would be carried out in an “impactful and socially conscious way”, which would make a welcome change.
