Netflix’s 'The Witcher' season 2 cast explains why it is exciting to be back

Henry Cavill-led Netflix’s The Witcher is coming back for its second season in December and the teasers that have been provided on Twitter have made fans go crazy with excitement. Now, the cast has revealed why one should be excited about the upcoming season.

Anya Chalotra, AKA Yennefer said, “You should be excited about season two because you get to find out what happened to Yennefer after the Battle of Sodden. And I don’t think there’s a better reason than that.”

About her character arc, Freya Allen, who plays Ciri, said, “Not only is Ciri finally reunited with Geralt, but she’s also training to become a Witcher herself. The pendulum is no joke.”

According to actress Mimi M Khayisa, we will “get to really explore” her character, Fringilla’s “relation with Yennefer and [we] get to learn more about how she ended up in Nilfgaard”. Khayisa promised that “Fringilla is a huge part of season two”.

Even Paul Buillon added that the second season is worth the watch as it will introduce his character, Lambert as well as Geralt’s mentor, Vesemir, played by Kim Bodnia, as well as “Coen and Eskel and other surviving witchers”.

The second season of Netflix’s The Witcher will be premiering on December 17, 2021.

While we wait for the same, on August 23, 2021, we get to see the new anime version of the “swashbuckling witcher” Vesemir in action, titled The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf

The prequel series The Witcher: Blood Origin is slated for a 2022 release.
