Netflix have just announced the most watched movies of all-time on the streaming service and there are some big surprises in the list that reveal the watching habits of their subscribers.

At the top spot is the action comedy film Red Notice, starring Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Ritu Ara, directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, focusing on an FBI agent who teams up to with an art thief to catch yet another thief.

Up next is Adam McKay’s science fiction comedy-drama Don’t Look Up, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett, Meryl Streep and Timothee Chalamet, telling of two astronomers tasked with warning the world about an oncoming asteroid that will kill humankind, though they are largely ignored.

Another science fiction comedy is in third place: Shawn Levy’s The Adam Project, which sees Ryan Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo and Jennifer Garner all star in a movie about a futuristic fighter pilot who crash lands in the past and meets his 12-year-old self.

Susanne Bier’s 2018 post-apocalyptic horror thriller film Bird Box, based on Josh Malerman’s 2014 novel of the same name, starring Sandra Bullock and Trevante Rhodes, comes in at number four. Bollock plays a mother who protects her family from strange beings that cause people who look at them to commit suicide.

Action movies are also proving to be popular on the streaming service, as the Russo Brothers’ The Gray Man, starring Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans and Ana de Armas, makes an appearance on the most watched movie list.
