Netflix shares new 'Bridgerton' sneak peak

Netflix has released an exciting new teaser for Bridgerton, showing that love between Kate and Anthony, played by Simone Ashley and Jonathan Bailey, is still very much in the air.

The new clip shows Anthony approaching Kate at a ball, turning to her mother, Dowager Viscountess Violet Bridgerton, to ask if he can borrow Kate for a dance, stating that he desired “that moment alone with my beautiful wife.”

In the caption for the teaser, Netflix hinted towards the couple’s unwavering dedication toward one another, stating, “as one can see, life after marriage has not dimmed the flames that burn between these two in the slightest.”

As we encroach on the show’s May 16th release date, Netflix has been building up tension with new teasers. A previous clip showed fan favourites Penelope and Colin Bridgerton, however, life will not be easy for Penelope, who decides “it’s time to take a husband.”

Despite attempts, the synopsis claims that “lacking in confidence, Penelope’s attempts on the marriage mart fail spectacularly.”

Clearly, some characters will experience tension, but according to Nicola Coughlan, the new series will remain loyal to the source material and be its most love-filled yet. Discussing the storyline, she told People that it will be “so romantic,” adding that “there were a lot of moments on set where we filmed something and we’d turn around and everyone was sort of clutching their chest being like ‘Oh my God.’ It was that kind of love.”

Bridgerton season three will be focussing on the fourth bookRomancing Mister Bridgerton, and is guaranteed to bring an exciting and fresh twist to the Regency romance story.

The core cast is set to return for the new instalment, with Bailey as Anthony, Simone as Kate Sharma, Ruth Gemmell as Violet, Claudia Jessie as Eloise, Luke Thompson as Benedict, Luke Newton as Colin, Will Tilston as Gregory, and Florence Hunt as Hyacinth.
